Get Ready for A Breakthrough!

Do you ever wonder if God really hears you? Do you know that God is attentive to your cries and that what you’re going through won’t last forever? The enemy loves to tell us, “It’s never going to change, this is just the way it is”. But that’s not true!  For those of you who have lost your way or feel forgotten, the Lord would say to you, “Hold on, you’re going to make it! It’s not always going to be this way. I am getting ready to make a way in the wilderness”.

If you’ve ever read your Bible, you may have noticed a theme like a piece of thread that’s been skillfully woven throughout the pages of scripture. It’s the story of restoration, redemption, and hope. It’s the constant reminder that God has chosen to show up for His children. If you are in a time of pain or discouragement, or facing trials and temptation, the Lord wants you to know there is breakthrough for you!

He is able and willing to help you break through the barriers that hinder you from moving forward and the places you feel stuck. He wants to take you out of the mundane and give you a new excitement about the days to come. Isaiah 43:19 says, “See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness, and streams in the wasteland.”

Breakthrough comes when you begin to see more clearly; when the eyes of your understanding are opened. In the book of Job, we read about a man who lost everything, except for a wife begging him to curse God, and friends that could only sit with him for so long. It was then that Job cried out, “I have heard of you by the hearing of the ears. But now my eyes see you’. (Job 42:5)   How gracious of God to open his eyes and give him his breakthrough moment. A breakthrough that would begin to restore all that was lost. What a joy it is to come out of a prolonged trial seeing more clearly. To have that moment of breakthrough that changes everything around you.

Today, take a moment and ask yourself: Where is it that I need a breakthrough? What is it that I have been unable to change? What are the things that have me frustrated and feeling like giving up? God is listening and wants you to know He is able to break through!
